Birthday Party

We were all sick with the stomach flu for Ruthie's birthday and had to cancel her party. So we decided to wait and have a joint birthday party for her and Gavin. I can't believe Gavin is now 7 and Ruthie 2, where does the time go? We went to Boise Saturday and went to Planet Kid, then to dinner at Koyoto. It is a Japanese restaurant that prepares the food at your table. Gavin thought it was great. Then Sunday we had the whole family here for a BBQ. We had a house full, but it was so nice to have it at our own house! We missed being homeowners for the 2 years we rented. I forgot my camera when we were Boise, so the pics are some my mother-in-law took at the party.

My lil Wrestler!

Okay I know I have not been the most faithful blogger, but I am going to start trying to blog more often. Gavin started wrestling and has really taken to it like a fish to water. He had his first pin today and in his honor my mother-in-law made these cool collages for his scrap book. I have to admit that I was excited that next week will be Gavin's last tournament, until the coach approached Thomas and asked for his help to start/coach a year round free style team. It is so hard to watch other kids choke and slam your baby down on the mat. It's even harder to see the frustration and disappointment on his face when his 110% very best isn't enough. Not to mention having to have him at various High Schools before 8 AM on Saturday mornings for weigh-ins! Thomas was a big wrestler in high school and keeps reassuring me that it really helps teach self discipline and the rewards of hard work. As much as I can't stand to watch it, I can't help but notice the excitement on my boys face when he's wrestling, let alone his talent! I have to except that he is 100% boy and growing up so fast. I'm no longer allowed to give him kisses on the lips, if I want a kiss it's on the cheeks and has to be done before we leave the house for school in the morning! I don't know where the time goes? One week from today Ruthie will be 2 and in 5 weeks Gavin will 7! Crazy! Well it's bed time in this house stay tuned there will be more blogs to come!

Ruthie's Blessing

We had Ruthie blessed last month, but I've been a slacker and have not been able to blog lately. Too busy! Her dress was made from a lady who is out of American Fork, Ut. She is from Europe and sowed for Christain Deor for 10 years in NYC. The dress was beautiful to say the least! Ruthie looked like an angel. We are so grateful for her and just enjoy her so much. Gavin is getting so big so fast. He is always keeping us on our toes and making us laugh. If they were not so expensive I'd have 10 kids! Thank you to mom for all her help, she always goes all out and makes sure everything is perfect. Thank you to my mother-in-law who had everyone over to her house and took these pictures.

Gavin's VSP and Basketball~

So Gavin keeps us all really busy! Last week he was VSP of the week in his classroom. That's Very Special Person. He got to take pictures of his family, bring his favorite snack, take his favorite books and have them read at circle time, and be line line leader all week long. He thought he was pretty special! He is also in basketball right now and loves it! He is such a little sports nut. He still is trying to get the dribbling and running together thing down, but does surprisingly well. We sure enjoy him. I had to throw a pic of Ruthie in there too! Gotta show of my beautiful kiddo's as much as I can.

Christmas 2008!

I haven't been able to blog for so long! We've had a crazy Holiday's! The day after Thanksgiving Ruthie was placed in the hospital for 2 weeks because she developed a milk protein allergy that we were unaware of. After being in the hospital in Twin Falls for a week they transferred her to SLC to Primary Children's Hospital. She is doing great now except for a horrible fear of strangers! They drew blood every 6-8 hours in Twin Falls hospital! Poor baby. However we got her out in time for Christmas and had a great Christmas! Santa brought all of us a Wii. Gavin is so competitive and I gotta say the boxing is great martial counseling. We've all had a blast with it. The other pics is Gavin's school Christmas party. I'm a classroom mom and get to be in charge of all the parties along with 2 other moms. They were so sweet and planned the whole thing because I didn't have time with Ruthie in the Hospital. It was so much fun, the kids are so cute. We can't wait for the new year. We have big plans! We have an offer in on a house with acreage and Thomas has become one of the owners of his electrical company. We are very nervous and excited!
